SBI FD Calculator

Calculate SBI fixed deposit maturity with the published SBI rate band selected from your exact tenure and customer type.

Why does this ask for the booking date?

Because SBI rates change. The booking date lets the calculator choose the dated rate version that was live when the deposit was booked, instead of pretending rates are timeless.

Why can two tenures one day apart give different answers?

Because SBI publishes rate bands, not a smooth curve. The jump from 45 days to 46 days is a bank rule, not a maths quirk, and the page shows the band label so you can see exactly where the jump came from.

Does the senior-citizen rate include SBI We-care in the long band?

Yes. SBI's published senior rate for 5 years and up to 10 years carries the starred We-care note on the rate page. This page uses the published number and leaves the note visible in the sources rather than hiding it.

Why can I enter months or days, but not years?

Because the product choice here is about exact tenure boundaries. A year field hides the bank boundary you are trying to inspect. Months and days keep the band selection precise.

Does this model premature closure or payout FD?

No. This is the cumulative FD path at the published opening rate. Premature closure changes the rate and usually adds a penalty. A payout FD does not keep compounding the interest inside the deposit.
