HDFC Bank RD Calculator

Calculate HDFC Bank recurring deposit maturity with the published HDFC RD rate band selected from your tenure and customer type.

Why does this page step in quarter-year blocks?

Because HDFC Bank's own published RD calculator exposes month choices in 3-month steps after the 6-month minimum. This page follows the published picker instead of inventing in-between tenures the bank did not expose there.

Why does the rate jump from 6 to 9 to 12 months?

Because the bank publishes it that way. The RD maturity formula did not change. The selected bank band did.

Does this page assume RD and FD rates are the same at HDFC Bank?

No. It stores the RD bands from HDFC Bank's own published RD calculator and rate page. Some long-tenure RD bands line up with FD, but the page does not guess that. It uses the published RD tenure points directly.

Why is the booking date part of the answer?

Because bank rates change. The booking date lets the calculator choose the dated HDFC rate version it knows about, rather than pretending today's number applied forever.

Does this include TDS or missed-instalment penalties?

No. It assumes on-time instalments and a clean maturity. HDFC Bank's RD pages separately describe TDS and premature-withdrawal or penalty behaviour.
