Which day's NAV applies to my mutual fund purchase?

AMFI's published rule is that a purchase gets the NAV of the business day on which the money reaches the mutual fund account before the cut-off time, and otherwise the next business day. A CAS row does not carry that timestamp, so this page does not guess your entitlement from the outside. It prices the gap instead.

My SIP was debited on one day and allotted at the next day's NAV. Is that automatically wrong?

No. A same-day bank debit is not the same thing as the money reaching the mutual fund account before the cut-off time. That is why this page reports the days and the cost rather than declaring the row wrong on sight.

The units do not match my amount divided by the NAV. What came off?

Accepted Answer

Something sat between the payment and the allotment. Sometimes that is a charge, sometimes the amount you entered is not the whole purchase that the row represents, and sometimes the row is not a plain purchase at all. This page reports the money that did not become units, which is the fact the row proves, and leaves the naming of it to the platform or AMC statement detail.

Why is the NAV my units imply more useful than the unit shortfall?

Because fewer units than expected has two explanations and the unit count alone cannot separate them. Money coming off first moves the implied NAV away from the printed one. A later business-day price moves the printed NAV itself. One figure, two diagnoses.

Does this check my whole CAS?

Accepted Answer

No, one purchase row. That is a deliberate limit. A whole CAS is a table, and a page that takes a pasted table turns one mistyped row into a confident wrong verdict. One row you can point at is the safer product.
